Synopsis
Year 2055. Steevyshady, an overly botoxed Youtuber tells the tale of a pop idol’s rise and fall fifty years ago.
After winning a TV singing competition, Mimi Madamour enjoyed great fame and fortune as the nation's pop diva. It was at this audition she met Billie Kohler, who departed to the judges' ridicule, but would become a queer punk icon – and the love of Mimi's life.
As the couple's love and passion for each other grew, so did their greed for the spotlight, and soon their romance spiralled into a circle of jealousy and self-destruction. Mimi & Billie truly were the Queens of Drama.
Referencing classic films such as Bob Fosse's All That Jazz and Brian de Palma's Phantom of the Paradise, director Alexis Langlois also throws iconic pop culture moments into the mix, making their feature film debut a deliciously camp, high-octane queer experience made to be seen - and heard - on the big screen!
