Synopsis
After a devastating flood wipes out her hometown, Joana moves to São Paulo to stay with her sister Tania and her grandson Jaime.
Joana struggles to thrive in this “working city”, but she gradually bonds with her colleagues in a collective struggle for better working conditions. Meanwhile, her deepening relationship with young Jaime reawakens memories of her missing son.
Following the death of her father, Flavia moves to his farm with her wife Mara. Making a fresh start in the wilderness is a struggle, and both are shocked over the harsh realities of rural daily life. Flavia suspects that something is in the woods surrounding the house, and nature forces the couple to confront old memories and ghosts.
